Northstar Recycling Co., a waste and recycling solutions company based in East Longmeadow, Massachusetts, has acquired Lewiston, New York-based Waste Technology Services (WTS), a provider of waste management services and environmental consulting solutions.

WTS serves chemical, pharmaceutical and technology end markets with solutions to manage manufacturing and processing waste streams. The company uses its technical capabilities and Responsible Care Management System to manage industrial waste streams, byproducts and reusable material.

“The WTS team is excited to partner with Northstar in the next chapter of our evolution,” WTS President Michael Wurst says. “Northstar and WTS have shared values and provide highly complementary services, and we look forward to continuing to deliver differentiated customer-centric solutions and outcomes to our long-term partners.”

Northstar has completed three acquisitions since its 2021 recapitalization. The company says it will continue to pursue partnerships with leading providers of managed waste and recycling solutions that demonstrate a commitment to organizational culture, waste diversion, service delivery and data-driven outcomes.

“We are thrilled to welcome the WTS organization to Northstar,” Northstar Co-founders Seth Goodman and Noah Goodman say. “Uniting Northstar and WTS creates a unique platform with differentiated scale, expertise and resources to deliver comprehensive, sustainability-oriented managed waste and recycling services across industries.”
