The National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA) released an infographic illustrating the association’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The association has been active in its outreach to federal, state and local governments and has been in regular communication with member companies to disseminate the resources industry professionals need to stay safe.
“During this unprecedented global health crisis, waste and recycling collection workers remain on the job; they are vital,” NWRA President and CEO Darrell Smith says. “We know from history that without reliable waste collection, illness and disease can spread. From the beginning of this COVID-19 pandemic through today, NWRA staff has been aggressive in our efforts to ensure our member companies and their employees have all the resources they need to operate safely.”
The infographic is available via NWRA's website.
