The National Waste and Recycling Association (NWRA) has announced that Kirk Sander, NWRA’s chief of staff and vice president of safety and standards, was selected as a consensus body member for the continuous maintenance process of American National Standards Institute’s ANSI-GBI 01-2019: the Green Globes Assessment Protocol for Commercial Buildings.
“I am glad Kirk was selected to serve on this standards-setting committee. Given his background and work, he is uniquely qualified. His presence means the waste and recycling industry will have a voice at the table on the design of facilities where our industry collects the waste and recyclables, with the goal to make collection safer and more efficient,” NWRA President and CEO Darrell Smith says.
NWRA serves as the secretariat for the ANSI Z245 Committee on Equipment Technology and Operations for Wastes and Recyclable Materials.
