“With the departure of Peggy Macenas and then Katie Raverty-Evans transitioning to the National Waste & Recycling Association, I am honored to be elected as president of the NWRA Women’s Council,” says Pam Caron. “For nearly 20 years, the women’s council members and the board have worked hard to foster the professional development of our members in the waste industry while striving to increase their business, financial and leadership skills through education, workshops, mentoring and networking.”

In addition, the women’s council offers scholarships to students in pursuit of a career in the environmental industry. This year, the women’s council will award $60,000 in scholarships to reflect the National Waste & Recycling Association’s 60th Anniversary.
