The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) recently released a video detailing its inspection process and the reasons why it conducts inspections.
According to the agency, the main reasons for inspections center on the following issues:
- Imminent danger situations
- Worker fatalities
- Hospitalizations, amputations, or loss of an eye
- Worker complaints
- Referrals
- Targeted inspections
