The Paper Stock Industries (PSI) Chapter of the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI), Washington, has redesigned its website at http://paperstockindustries.org with a refreshed look, updated content and new resources for chapter members and nonmembers alike. The site also is accessible through the “ISRI Chapters” link on the www.isri.org homepage.
The site’s “Membership” section provides basic information on the chapter under “About PSI” and includes the chapter’s new “Value Proposition,” which reviews the main reasons to join PSI. Separate links connect visitors to PSI’s bylaws and to the “ISRI Specs,” which include specification guidelines for recovered paper grades and other scrap materials. The “Membership” section wraps up with information on PSI’s academic scholarship program.
The new site’s “Communications” section provides new and old information of interest to paper recycling professionals, including the latest PSI news items, announcements on new PSI members and interviews with past and current PSI members and leaders. This section also offers informative resources—such as summaries of previous PSI specification discussions—and a list and photos of past PSI Chapter presidents.
Other sections of the new PSI site link members to ISRI’s state legislative tracking system (a member-only benefit), announcements on upcoming PSI events, photos from past PSI gatherings and a list of current PSI Chapter officers, including their email addresses and phone numbers.
Previously, a third-party vendor hosted PSI’s website, whereas ISRI now hosts the site. The change allows greater in-house control of the website and aligns it with ISRI’s overall brand and style, PSI says.
“PSI is excited to unveil its new website, which provides a timely, professional-looking forum for the chapter,” says PSI Chapter President Linda Leone of Atlanta-based WestRock. “I encourage all paper recycling professionals to visit the new site to see how its resources might benefit them.”
