Power Knot LLC, a Fremont, California-based organic waste management solutions company, has released its new BCG-315 grinder, which the company says is designed to process dense organic materials prior to digestion, composting or recycling.
Available globally, the BCG-315 adds to Power Knot’s existing range of preprocessing equipment, including its LFC biodigester. According to Power Knot, the grinder can be integrated with the LFC biodigester and with other waste-handling systems.

The BCG-315 grinder is designed for use in facilities that process hard and fibrous organic waste, including animal bones, fruit stones, plant stalks and other dense materials. With a throughput of 180 kilograms per hour (400 pounds per hour) and the ability to handle bones up to 400 millimeters (16 inches), Power Knot says the grinder produces consistent particle size for efficient downstream processing.
The machine can reduce material to 15–35 millimeters (0.6–1.3 inches), lowering waste volume, minimizing odors and improving hygiene. It also supports recycling and byproduct recovery, including bone meal, fertilizer and biofuel feedstock.
Key features include:
- double-shaft, low-speed, high-torque shredder
- 5.5 kilowatt motor
- heat-treated cutting knives
- K-Series gearbox
- custom-designed hopper
- wall-mounted control box, including an emergency stop and reverse mode
The grinder also features an optional reinforced modular frame and adjustable legs to provide flexible installation. The frame can be disassembled for transport, installation and maintenance.
“The BCG-315 delivers he performance and reliability our customers need when processing dense organic material,” Power Knot President Iain Milnes says. “Paired with our LFC biodigesters, it forms a complete solution that helps organizations cut waste, improve sanitation and meet sustainability targets.”
