Priority Waste, Clinton Township, Michigan, announced the acquisition of the J Fons Company on July 22. Priority Waste offers waste removal services for multiple Detroit-based municipalities, encompassing more than 25,000 homes, and serves several thousand businesses throughout the commercial, construction and demolition and industrial sectors. J Fons Company is a Detroit-based waste hauling firm founded in 1956 and the operator of a transfer station serving the city’s metro market.
The acquisition supports the expansion of Priority Waste’s waste and recycling collection, roll-off and scrap metal recycling business. It also provides Priority Waste a second transfer station in the Detroit area.
“J Fons is a long-standing member of the Detroit area community with a great reputation for customer service. Their operations will support our geographic growth and strengthen our connection with Detroit residents who can use the transfer station for waste drop-off,” Priority Waste CEO Todd Stamper says.
