Q.E.D. Environmental releases high temperature landfill pump

The AutoPump AP4 is designed to withstand temperatures up to 250 degrees Fahrenheit.

Q.E.D. Environmental Systems Inc., a subsidiary of Graco Inc. based in Dexter, Michigan, announces the release of its new AutoPump AP4 high temperature ultra pump for landfill and remediation pumping applications. The pump is designed to withstand temperatures up to 250 degrees Fahrenheit and increase run time between cleanings.

The design of the AP4 Ultra pump includes materials to deliver pumping performance in high-temperature landfill leachate and condensate risers and groundwater remediation wells. Nonstick finishes and electropolished surfaces in the pump is designed to reduce solids buildup, increasing the runtime interval and making it much faster and easier to clean. The company says that with the pump, users experience longer run times, reduced maintenance costs, increased safety of service personnel and a boost in project productivity.

All nonmagnetic metallic parts of the AP4 Ultra are 316-grade stainless steel with engineered polymers designed to be resistant to corrosion and attacks by harsh leachates, free-phase and dissolved fuels, BTEX and MTBE. QED also offers a selection of pump tubing and accessories rated for high-temperature applications.

The AP4 Ultra pump is available in several different configurations to best meet the needs of the individual application.
