Augsburg, Germany-based alternative energy truck maker Quantron AG says a battery-powered waste collection vehicle will be among the models it introduces at trade fairs in Germany this summer and fall.
The company’s Q Econic EV waste collection model has been designed to appeal to “both local residents and waste collectors with its emission-free and low-noise operation.” Quantron says the Econic took part in test runs lasting several weeks throughout Germany earlier this year.
The company says its portfolio of “environmentally friendly” vehicles range from 3.49 to 44 metric tons by weight.
“As a system provider, Quantron AG also offers numerous services such as the creation of individual overall concepts including the appropriate charging infrastructure as well as rental, financing and leasing offers,” says the company.
