RapidWorks, a Boston-based provider of field management solutions for heavy construction equipment service providers, appointed Matt DePaolis as president.
The appointment follows RapidWorks’ acquisition of CRO Software, a Calgary-based provider of waste and recycling industry software. RapidWorks says it is accelerating its mission to serve all heavy equipment service providers across multiple verticals, including concrete pumping, crane services, waste management and recycling.
“In my two years as CEO of RapidWorks, we have tripled in size,” RapidWorks CEO Tim Curran says. “Adding Matt’s leadership is another key step in scaling RapidWorks to meet the needs of our growing customer base. Together with our expanded product portfolio and a dedicated team, we’re building a stronger foundation to deliver even greater value for heavy equipment service providers worldwide.”
DePaolis began his career as a software engineer, but after three years he left moved into the field to work as a general contractor building homes. He later joined Vela Systems, a software provider for field management in construction, that was later acquired by Autodesk, a global construction software provider.
Most recently, DePaolis was president of Repsly, a retail software as a service company serving both field teams and back-office operations. According to RapidWorks, he led the company through a period of rapid growth and strengthened product, customer service and operational execution that culminated in Repsly’s acquisition by Cuadrilla Capital earlier this year.
“I’m thrilled to join RapidWorks at such an exciting time,” DePaolis says. “My years as a contractor give me a deep appreciation for the daily challenges our customers face and inspires me to focus on solutions that make their jobs easier. RapidWorks has an incredible opportunity to help heavy equipment service providers operate more efficiently and profitably, and I’m excited to build on that momentum with the team.”
