R&B Debris names new president

R&B Debris specializes in construction and demolition, wood, filter cake, asbestos and soil waste services.

The Hainesport Transportation Group, Hainesport, New Jersey, has named John Thomas president of R&B Debris, one of its subsidiary companies. R&B Debris, also based in Hainesport, provides transportation services for hazardous and non-hazardous materials, including disposal solutions through a network of private and public landfills in the greater Philadelphia region.

Some of the waste materials R&B Debris specializes include construction and demolition, wood, filter cake, asbestos and soil waste.

In this role, Thomas will be responsible for strengthening relationships with the company’s current clients and disposal partners and spearheading efforts to grow R&B Debris through new partnerships and long-term strategy planning.

“John has decades of experience in the transportation industry, with significant positions in fleet management,” Darryl Caplan, managing partner of The Hainesport Transportation Group, says. “Bringing his expertise to R&B Debris will allow the company to grow under his leadership.”

Thomas has extensive experience in the transportation industry. In addition to his parents’ operating a tractor trailer company, Thomas has worked for Statewide Hi-Way Safety, Hammonton, New Jersey, as fleet maintenance manager; Universal Express as a fleet manager; and as operations manager for M.L. Ruberton Construction and its sister company, Aqua-Tex Transport, both based in Hammonton.

In 2016, John joined R&B Debris as a transportation and disposal specialist to help the organization grow and develop in larger markets.

“I’m looking forward to taking R&B Debris to the next level in terms of revenue and in services we can provide, as well as in finding opportunities for innovative partnerships,” Thomas says. “I have spent my entire professional career in this industry and as the business evolves with the times, it’s both challenging and exciting to stay ahead of the changes.”
