Reworld, headquartered in Florham Park, New Jersey, has appointed Paul Ligon as executive vice president, chief revenue and growth officer.
Ligon, who brings decades of experience in the waste and sustainable materials management industry, will report directly to the company’s president and CEO Azeez Mohammed. He holds a master’s degree in business and a bachelor’s degree in natural resources.
Most recently, Ligon served as chief revenue officer at Casella Waste Systems of Rutland, Vermont, where he led the company’s enterprise growth strategy and oversaw business development, sales, marketing, customer care and community engagement. Previously, Ligon was in the role of senior vice president of development and strategy at Casella, served in various leadership roles at Waste Management of Houston and began his career at the Massachusetts-based Tellus Institute for Resource and Environmental Strategies.
In his new role, Ligon will lead the company’s commercial function, focusing on commercial growth, sales performance, expanding service capabilities and refining commercial strategy. According to Reworld, his appointment supports the company’s goals of expanding service offerings and entering new markets.
