RiverRoad Waste Solutions Inc., Tinton Falls, New Jersey, has announced it has undergone a successful management buyout from owner CharterHouse Equity Partners. The acquisition has been led by RiverRoad’s CEO Kris Bunnell and Chief Operating Officer Dan McGowan.
The transaction will enable RiverRoad to enhance its position as a market leader, building on the strong client base it has fostered since 2004, according to the company, while providing a platform for growth as a provider of digital solutions for efficient waste diversion and recycling.
“Today’s announcement is an important milestone in the growth of our company,” Bunnell says. “This is the beginning of our next chapter as a women-owned business, which has been a dream of mine for many years. Our singular focus is to better serve national clients by expanding existing services and vertical market expertise, while continuing to be an industry innovator of technology solutions that meet waste management and sustainability needs.”
Strategic imperatives for RiverRoad following the transaction include leveraging the company’s market positioning, reputation and track record working with leading brands nationwide. The company says it also will look to increase adoption of its digital platform for waste management and recycling, building on the myRoad 3.0 release in 2016.
Bunnell adds, “Our management team is energized by this momentous occasion. We all share a passionate belief in our company, in the RiverRoad vision, our culture, our team, partners and the many opportunities ahead.”
