Sebright Products Inc., a Hopkins, Michigan-based manufacturer of waste handling and recycling equipment, has announced it has transitioned to a 100-percent employee-owned company.
All employees of Sebright Products Inc. are now owners of the company through an employee stock ownership plan (ESOP). The company says this milestone marks a significant step in its commitment to empowering its workforce and ensuring long-term sustainability and growth.
Sebright has long been dedicated to fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment where every team member has a vested interest in the success and future of the organization, the company says, and its shift to an employee-owned structure recognizes the contributions of employees while deepening its commitment to teamwork, innovation and community.

“We are thrilled to become a 100-percent employee-owned company,” said Emir Avdić, CEO of Sebright Products Inc. “This change not only rewards our hardworking employees but also aligns with our core values of teamwork, innovation and community. By giving our employees ownership, we are investing in their future and the future of Sebright Products Inc.”
The ESOP structure will provide employees with benefits, Sebright says, including:
- Enhanced financial security: Employees will receive shares in the company, contributing to their retirement savings and financial well-being.
- Increased engagement and motivation: Ownership fosters a sense of pride and responsibility, encouraging employees to contribute to the company’s success while providing superior customer support.
- Long-term stability: Employee ownership ensures that the company remains locally owned and operated, preserving jobs and supporting the community.
The company says this transition to employee ownership will further strengthen its ability to innovate and meet the needs of its customers.
“We believe that employee ownership is the key to our continued success,” Avdić says. “Our employees are the heart of our company, and their dedication and hard work have driven our achievements. This new chapter will empower them to take our company to even greater heights.”
