Ewing, New Jersey-based Solterra Recycling Solutions, formerly Central Jersey Waste and Recycling, has completed its acquisition of Bridge Disposal, a New Brunswick, New Jersey-based provider of solid waste collection services.
Solterra says the acquisition of Bridge Disposal, which services residential, commercial and industrial customers throughout central New Jersey, comes on the heels of the company’s refinancing of its credit facility in April 2016.
“We are excited to continue building and strengthening our footprint in New Jersey,” says Ed Apuzzi, CEO of Solterra. “This acquisition reflects our strategy of building density and scale in markets we know well.”

Solterra is a leading provider of nonhazardous solid waste, organic waste and recyclables collection and hauling services. The company serves more than 30 municipalities, 400,000 residential households and 2,000 commercial customers throughout central and north New Jersey as well as in the Philadelphia metropolitan area.
Solterra says it was formed to serve as a growth platform with the goal of building a scalable and integrated solid waste focused environmental services operation. The company is poised to execute on its strategy of building density in the New Jersey market and expanding into adjacent markets by completing tuck-in and platform acquisitions and winning new collection contracts. Apuzzi and LoVerde, Solterra’s leaders, previously ran Progressive Waste’s operations in the northeastern United States.
