Sourgum Waste, a waste and recycling technology company based in Jersey City, New Jersey, is expanding into the Southeastern United States with the rollout of its waste and recycling services to the metropolitan areas of Greenville, Columbia and Charleston, South Carolina, as well as Atlanta, Augusta and Athens, Georgia, in November and December.
According to a news release from Sourgum, the company takes its services where there is a need. With Atlanta being the eighth-most populous city in the country and the capital of Georgia, there is a constant abundance of waste to be sustainably disposed. Considering that Atlanta has various historic homes and rapidly expanding community development, construction waste is expected to increase as the metropolitan area continues to grow. Sourgum Waste says it will help homeowners, business owners and contractors with modern, responsible and dependable waste disposal services.
“We picked Atlanta because of the size of the market and the city’s continued focus on environmentally and economically sustainable growth,” says Joseph DiNardi-Mack, Sourgum Waste’s co-founder and CEO. “Atlanta is one of the largest cities we’ll be operating in, and we are excited to be a part of its evolution. With this latest expansion into Georgia and South Carolina, we are bridging the gap in our service areas and finally serving the entire East Coast from our home state of New Jersey down to Florida.”
Teams at Sourgum Waste have worked to identify and partner with Atlanta haulers dedicated to improving efficiency and sustainability in the waste and recycling industry. Sourgum Waste now has partnered with more than 280 waste disposal providers along the East Coast, providing roll-off dumpster rentals, repeat trash and recycling removal for businesses and soon curbside trash and recycling collection for homeowners.
“We were excited when we were approached by Sourgum Waste, at the prospect of integrating their modern tools into our operations,” says Sean Bartram, owner of ADM Rolloff, a family-owned business that’s been serving the greater Atlanta area for more than 20 years. “From marketing to customer support and everything in between, Sourgum Waste can take away some of the headaches of doing business and help us streamline our operations. We also love that they are investing in sustainability and a cleaner future.”
This expansion is part of Sourgum Waste’s effort to revolutionize what it calls an outdated waste and recycling industry in America by providing modern solutions paired with customer support. Sourgum Waste says it makes it easy for customers to order dumpsters and other waste services online, on any device, from wherever they are. It does so through proprietary technology and its exclusive network of partner haulers. The carbon-neutral waste company is making the world a cleaner place by diverting most of the trash from landfills and planting trees for every order placed through them.
