Stella Environmental Holdings Inc., a Houston-based Hidden Harbor Capital Partners portfolio company that provides transfer station management and municipal waste logistics services, announced it has purchased Dallas-based Jack Herod Trucking LLC. According to Stella, the acquisition will allow the company to expand its geographic footprint; diversify its customer base; and strengthen its existing facility management, hauling and loading capabilities.
Jack Herod is a provider of transfer station management and ancillary waste logistics services in the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) market. According to Stella, Jack Herod will provide significant density to Stella’s existing network in DFW and help the company meet its goal of exceeding customers’ expectations.
“This acquisition strengthens our position in the transfer station management industry by expanding our reach and deepening our capabilities. Jack Herod is an ideal fit with Stella given its long-tenured customer relationships and service-oriented culture,” Heath Eddleblute, CEO of Stella, says.
“The Jack Herod team is very excited to join Stella—who we view as a strong, well-respected market leader,” Jack Herod, founder of Jack Herod Trucking, says. “Joining a larger platform will allow us to pursue additional growth opportunities and gain operational efficiencies in our core market.”
Stella was formed as a standalone company after its acquisition by Hidden Harbor Capital Partners from Action Resources in August 2017. Stella’s acquisition of Jack Herod Trucking closed on Aug. 9.
