The Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio (SWACO) issued a request for Information (RFI) in attempts to solicit feedback from residential waste and recycling hauling companies. SWACO, which has 41 communities within its solid waste management district, helps these communities with bidding their solid waste, recycling and yard waste contracts.
Many of the communities have joined SWACO’s Consortium Program and bid out their services jointly. SWACO has prepared the RFI to gain a better understanding from the hauling community of ways to improve the program. The RFI includes 16 short questions. The responses will be used to improve the program in order to benefit the haulers and the communities.
SWACO is interested in obtaining responses from all waste hauling companies, regardless of whether or not they are located within SWACO’s district. Responses to the RFI are due back Jan. 26 by 5 p.m. EST.
