Synagro Technologies, based in Baltimore, has announced Stephen W. Cole has been named president and CEO, bringing significant experience leading public, private and private equity organizations of international scope.

Roberts, chairman of the Synagro board of directors. “Steve brings Synagro a proven track record of driving growth along with a great mix of leadership, inspiration, operational experience and passion for customer care.”
Cole offers executive experience leading sales, marketing, manufacturing operations, business development and logistics functions within all stages of the business cycle, according to Synagro.
Previously, he served as an industrial advisor for EQT Holdings/EQT Partners (www.eqt.se/). Prior to his time at EQT, he was president and CEO of SVM Inc., a $400 million chemicals company with 800 employees.
Cole holds a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from Oregon State University and attended Columbia University’s Executive Education Programs in finance and marketing.
