Tomorrow Recycling, based in Brandon, Florida, is seeking alliances with existing recycling plant operators and recycling-focused companies who are interested in automation-related investments and future ownership transition scenarios.

In an early October email to prospective collaborators, Tomorrow Recycling Director of Corporate Development Todd Rubendall says his firm is open to exploring what a partnership could look like.

“Our mission is simple: provide resources, hands-on support, and capital while preserving what makes each business special," Rubendall says.

The Tomorrow Recycling website indicates the firm intends to have a national scope.

“We collaborate with and acquire recycling facilities across the country, providing them with the resources, expertise and capital needed to maximize recovery efficiently,” the company says. “By providing best-in-class operational support, strategic capital investment and comprehensive back-office administration, we empower recycling facilities to reach their full potential."

On the investment side, in his email Rubendall writes in part, “Tomorrow Recycling builds collaborative partnerships with business owners in the waste and recycling industry who are considering exit options but seeking an alternative to being absorbed by a large corporation that will erase their legacy.”

The Tomorrow Recycling website shows still photos and background video clips that display robotic material recovery facility (MRF) sorting and baled MRF commodities, including discarded paperboard and plastic packaging.

The bio on Rubendall’s LinkedIn page indicates he has worked for sorting technology providers National Recovery Technologies (NRT) and Bulk Handling Systems (BHS) and waste and recycling firms Casella Waste Services, Rutland, Vermont, and J.P. Mascaro & Sons, Audubon, Pennsylvania.
