The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) is looking to issue a permit renewal to Tiller Transfer Station, a facility located in Tiller, Oregon. The facility is owned and operated by Douglas County, Oregon.
The current permit was issued on March 13, 2007 and will expire on March 5, 2017.
The renewal permit would continue to authorize transfer station activities, including collection and consolidation of solid waste prior to the material being transferred to a permitted landfill, and collecting and consolidating recyclables prior to the material being transported to recycling facilities.
A review of the DEQ solid waste permit file for the site indicates that there have been no compliance issues noted during the past 10-year permit cycle.
To comment on the proposed permit renewal, send information to Denise Miller, DEQ Permit Coordinator, at 165 E. Seventh Ave., Suite 100, Eugene, OR 97401 or miller.denise@deq.state.or.us.
The deadline to submit comments is March 24, 2017.
