Industrial shredding equipment manufacturer UNTHA UK has expanded its senior management team with the appointment of engineer Roger Draper.
Draper, head of after sales for UNTHA UK, brings 35 years of industry and engineering experience. UNTHA UK says Draper will take the lead on all new projects after client orders have been confirmed to ensure the streamlined, efficient and high quality delivery of contracts. Draper will also manage the ongoing service and maintenance of existing clients’ shredders and will direct the coordination of plant shutdowns on customers’ sites.
Having worked in the coal industry for 19 years, progressing to senior management roles with organisations such as British Coal, Roger has also managed top-tier COMAH (Control of Major Accident Hazards) sites. Most recently he was chief engineer for hazardous waste management specialist Tradebe.
Draper brings a wealth of knowledge to this newly created role. Elaborating on his reasons for joining the company, he says, “I was particularly attracted to this position, because of the scope to drive further progress within a progressive company, in an emerging market.
“I hope my project management, scheduling, and extensive service and maintenance expertise, will stand me in good stead to strengthen the robustness of UNTHA UK’s after sales department. I’m also looking forward to further developing the skills of existing employees, as I recognise there is a lot of talent to work with.”
Commenting on this newest addition to the team, UNTHA UK’s managing director Chris Oldfield says, “Roger’s appointment is crucial to our continued evolution as a business, and will prove a key factor in us ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction, especially as we secure ever-larger projects.
“As well as being a highly qualified man, Roger has a very personable and approachable character. These are important qualities for someone in a management role, especially at UNTHA UK. He is also a very practical engineer who isn’t afraid to roll his sleeves up.”
