Used Cooking Oil from BWI Marshall Airport to Become Biodiesel

Airmall USA, an airport concessions developer headquartered in Pittsburgh, has established a partnership arrangement with Greenlight Biofuels to develop a program to recycle waste cooking oil from tenants in the concession area at the Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI Marshall). Under the program the two companies will collect and recycle waste cooking oil into biodiesel.

“We’re pleased to partner with Greenlight Biofuels to implement a responsible alternative for disposing of waste cooking oil from airport tenants,” says Brett Kelly, vice president of Airmall Maryland. “This recycling program is an example of how Airmall strives to adopt innovative and ecofriendly ideas and technologies that benefit the airport, the concessions program and the environment.”
