Tampa, Florida-based Valet Living has announced the acquisition of Jacksonville, Florida-based waste and recycling services provider Skinner Waste Solutions.
Valet Living, which describes itself as a provider of amenity services to residential communities, says the acquisition allows it to add more than 30,000 homes to its portfolio of more than 1.5 million homes served.
The acquisition means Skinner Waste customers will have access to what the acquiring firm calls its “valet doorstep trash and recycling solutions, bulk removal, as well as community beautification services.”
“Despite tough economic times across the country, Valet Living’s ability to adjust and thrive is furthered by this latest acquisition of Skinner Waste Solutions,” says Shawn Handrahan, president and CEO of Valet Living. “Skinner Waste Solutions will not only advance our presence in the Southeast, but also reinforce our top-tier reputation in the multi-family residential industry with its history of professionalism and reliability.”
Founded in Jacksonville in 2014, Skinner Waste Solutions serves customers in Florida, Georgia and Alabama. “We are extremely excited about joining forces with Valet Living,” says Russell Skinner Jr., president of Skinner Waste Solutions. “This will provide our existing customers with an extensive range of services and technologies that we simply were not able to provide.”
Valet Living, which says it plans to retain more than 100 Skinner Waste Solutions associates, is a portfolio company of the private equity group of Los Angeles-based Ares Management LP and New York-based Harvest Partners LP.
