Mike Maloy has joined the staff of Vecoplan LLC, Arcdale, N.C., as a project engineer.
Vecoplan is a designer and manufacture of shredding, recycling and processing systems for the production of alternative energy from waste and biomass.
Maloy brings five years of experience as a project engineer at Z4 Energy Systems and as a production engineer at Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Co. to Vecoplan.
Maloy’s responsibilities will include coordinating the design and development of turnkey shredding systems for the recycling sector. Once the engineering phase has been completed, he also will oversee the manufacture and implementation of his projects to ensure continuous quality control throughout the process.
“Our increase in machine and systems projects has made it necessary for us to expand our engineering staff, and Mike’s background makes him a great fit in our engineering department here at Vecoplan,” says Gary Kolbet, vice president of engineering at Vecoplan LLC.
