Voyager Trucking Corp., a waste services company headquartered in Newark, New Jersey, has acquired Fairview, New Jersey-based Vision Transport Inc.

Founded in 1999, Vision Transport is a regional hauler serving municipal solid waste (MSW) customers, integrated waste companies and environmental services firms across the Mid-Atlantic U.S. The company operates in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.

The combined companies will create a regional provider of long-haul waste transportation solutions. According to Voyager Trucking, which specializes in transporting MSW and other bulk materials to landfills and incinerators, the acquisition also will enhance the company’s ability to serve public- and private-sector customers through a larger, integrated fleet and expanded operational expertise.

“Vision has built an exceptional business with a strong service culture and a commitment to operational excellence,” Voyager Trucking CEO Tom Didonato says. “This partnership enhances our capabilities, deepens our footprint and positions us to provide even greater value to our customers. We look forward to integrating Vision’s talented team and continuing to invest in growth across our network.”

DiDonato will lead the combined business, and Tim Markoglu, CEO of Vision Transport, will continue in a senior executive position. The Vision Transport brand and its employees will remain in place.

“Joining Voyager represents an exciting new chapter for our company. Voyager shares our dedication to safety, reliability and building long-term customer relationships,” Markoglu says. “Together, we will be able to offer expanded resources and capacity while maintaining the high-quality service our customers have come to expect. We are thrilled to partner with Tom and the Voyager leadership team as we continue to grow.”
