Houston-based Waste Management Inc. (WM) has announced plans to build a 25,000-square-foot compressed natural gas (CNG) truck fueling facility at the RiverPort Business Park in Hardeeville, South Carolina.
The company is expected to add 53 jobs and invest $23 million to build and operate the plant, according to an online article from the Jaspar County Sun Times.
The Sun Times quotes a WM area president as saying the hauling and recycling firm will “continue to be a leader in our industry by investing in CNG infrastructure and trucks fueled by CNG, a win for our customers, the environment and Waste Management.”
Construction on the project began in December 2017, according to the newspaper.
