Waste Pro USA, based in Longwood, Florida, has announced the hiring of Regina Caronia in the role of division manager of its Orlando, Florida, division. Caronia has more than 30 years of experience in the waste industry, says Waste Pro, including most recently as a district manager for Houston-based WM (formerly Waste Management).

Caronia began her career in 1991 with Western Waste. She later joined IWS, which also was also created by Waste Pro founder John Jennings and later became part of Browning Ferris Industries (BFI). Caronia also has had stints with hauling firms including Veolia and WM, where according to Waste Pro she “gained valuable experience managing residential and commercial work and overseeing customer relations.”

“I’ve known Regina for many years and we are so excited to welcome her home," Waste Pro Central Florida Regional Vice President Erik Sankey says. "I can’t think of anyone better suited to take on our dynamic growth in the Orlando market.”

Sankey adds, “She’s an industry veteran and a pro to boot. She’s not afraid to hop on the back of her truck herself. If she can’t get the job done, no one can.”

Caronia will lead the Orlando Division, which services more than 70,000 customers in Maitland, Winter Park and Windermere, Florida, and unincorporated Orange County, Florida.

Waste Pro is a waste collection, recycling, processing and disposal services in 10 southeastern states, serving more than 2 million residential and 100,000 commercial customers from more than 80 operating locations.
