John Jennings, the founder, chairman and CEO of Longwood, Florida-based Waste Pro USA, has received the inaugural Partner for Performance Award from Hagerstown, Indiana-based waste and recycling truck body manufacturer Autocar.
Jennings received the award for Waste Pro’s “continuing loyalty and commitment to excellence in the refuse industry,” according to Autocar. Executives from Autocar presented Jennings with the award during Waste Pro’s annual managers meeting in February in Memphis, Tennessee. Jennings also will be honored at Autocar’s Customer Hall of Fame this summer.
“Loyalty, commitment, and excellence are values that can sometimes get lost in the hectic pace of everyday business,” states Autocar Trucks President James M. Johnston. “Mr. John Jennings has always listened to us, been generous with his time and, most importantly, embodies [these values]. He has fostered these values in his company and his people while empowering them to do the same. His efforts have assured that we can both continue to grow and prosper in this partnership.”
In the fall of 2018, Jennings was recognized as one of Florida’s most influential business leaders in Florida Trend magazine’s “Florida 500” issue.
