Longwood, Florida-based Waste Pro has announced Chris Lockwood, former divisional vice president, has been promoted to regional vice president. Lockwood will manage the new Southern Mississippi region, which includes Waste Pro’s Hattiesburg, Gautier, Gulfport, Brookhaven and Natchez operations.
Lockwood joined Waste Pro in 2013 as a financial analyst in the corporate office in Longwood, Florida. The following year, he became a management trainee and was promoted to division manager in 2015.
Lockwood was appointed divisional vice president in 2018, managing Waste Pro’s Natchez, Brookhaven and Hattiesburg divisions. He led the teams in those offices in overseeing daily operations and expanding across the area. In Hattiesburg, Waste Pro is now the only residential service provider because of its exceptional service, the company says.
“It is an honor and privilege to lead such a talented and dedicated group of solid waste professionals,” Lockwood states. “The new Southern Mississippi region, as a team, are focused on implementing the highest possible levels of customer service and providing viable and long-lasting careers for our employees.”
Further, Lockwood says, “Waste Pro adds value in establishing strong partnerships with local businesses and contributes unparalleled community involvement in our footprint. South Mississippi is a wonderful place to live and work. As a team, we look to enhance performance in the community by being the ‘distinguishable difference’ in the waste industry.”
Waste Pro operates in nine Southeastern states, serving more than two million residential and 40,000 commercial customers from more than 75 operating locations.
