Waste Pro, Longwood, Florida, announced Oct. 19 that it has two new appointments within the company. Tim Dolan, former regional vice president of Central Florida, has been appointed corporate vice president of municipal marketing. Erik Sankey will now serve as the regional vice president for the company’s Central Florida region, which includes divisions in Orlando, Sanford, Cocoa, Daytona Beach, Ocala and Lake County.
In his new role, Dolan will oversee the municipal marketing process companywide. He will be working with the municipal marketing team to build relationships with city and county leaders across Waste Pro’s 10-state footprint to secure new and renewed business.
“Tim has been with Waste Pro for nearly its entire existence, so he knows the ‘Waste Pro Way,’” Waste Pro President and CEO Sean Jennings says. “He’s been a mentor for many of the municipal marketers who have worked for us already, so this the perfect step forward for him.”
Sankey, who has more than two decades of experience in the waste industry, previously held managerial roles with two major national haulers. In addition, he has experience as an owner/operator for smaller regional waste haulers, the company says. Sankey joined Waste Pro in 2019 as regional operations manager for Central Florida, a role in which he was responsible for oversight, coordination, supervision, planning, administration, training and logistical support for the region.
In addition to managing the region’s six divisions in Central Florida, Sankey will also oversee a recycling facility in Ocala, a landfill in Daytona Beach, and compressed natural gas (CNG) stations in Sanford and Daytona.
“With his years of leadership and the great job he did as regional operations manager, it was natural progression,” Jennings says. “Erik has a great can-do attitude, and I’m certain his leadership will bring even more success to this outstanding region.”
