Waste Pro USA Inc., a Longwood, Florida-based privately-owned waste collection, recycling, processing and disposal company, has announced its waste service contract with Louisiana State University for solid waste and recycling dumpster services. The contract term is three-and-a-half years, with renewal options for additional years.
This partnership will provide the university with tools to further enhance waste management operations and meet its sustainability goals, Waste Pro says.

“Partnering with LSU is a natural fit, as both entities support the community and improve lives. Waste Pro has strong ties with the university, with several of our regional employees being LSU alumni,” says Waste Pro Regional Vice President Jesse Murphy. “This partnership with LSU continues to raise the profile of Waste Pro in the state, as the company positions itself as a dominant solid waste, recycling and industrial company in Louisiana. Waste Pro has long-standing partnerships with the New Orleans Saints and the Pelicans, with at least five new acquisitions in the state within the last 12 months.”
LSU was founded in 1860 and is the flagship university for the state of Louisiana. Dedicated in 1926, LSU’s main campus in Baton Rouge is on a 1,2000-acre plateau on the banks of the Mississippi River and consists of more than 530 buildings, including Tiger Stadium and the Louisiana Museum of Natural History.
Waste Pro operates in 11 southeastern states, serving more than 2 million residential and 100,000 commercial customers from over 90 operating locations.
