Waste Pro, Longwood, Florida, has announced the appointment of Tim Herman as chief operating officer (COO).“For almost 20 years, I have been very impressed with Tim’s knowledge of all aspects of our industry,” says Waste Pro Chairman and CEO John Jennings. “During his time with Waste Pro, I’ve been very happy with how Tim has absorbed the Waste Pro way. Most importantly, I’m impressed with his total commitment to a support mentality, professionalism and ability to lead by example.”
Prior to being named COO, Herman served as Waste Pro’s chief development officer, focusing on opportunities for the company, overseeing strategic growth through acquisition and major accounts.
With a 30-year career in the waste industry, Herman has built two of the industry’s brokerage firms and has led a number of solid waste and recycling companies. Early in his
Herman has knowledge and experience in the development and growth of companies, in addition to garnering operational expertise as a result of these ventures and serving in leadership capacities at several solid waste and recycling companies. Previously, he founded Weiswaste and Delta Management Group – two waste brokerage firms.
Waste Pro operates nine southeastern states and serves more than 2 million residential and 40,000 commercial customers from more than 75 operating locations. Waste Pro maintains more than 250 exclusive municipal contracts and franchises.
