The Houston-based Gainsborough Waste and Texas Outhouse have announced they recently won three major waste service contracts to serve the Greater Houston market.
As part of a three-year, multimillion-dollar deal, Gainsborough Waste and Texas Outhouse will provide official waste services for the City of Houston, Harris County, and METRO.
“This is an historic moment for our company being recognized for our ability to deliver high-quality waste services,” says Gainsborough Waste president Noble Carl. “We are grateful to the City of Houston, Harris County, and METRO for trusting us as the reliable waste solution to support critical jobs in Houston.”
“As a locally-owned and operated company, Texas Outhouse is looking forward to the continuation of our partnership with Houston officials to provide portable toilets and event-related services that best serve our fellow citizens,” says Texas Outhouse president Paul Carl.
The services provided to each entity include:
- City of Houston: Texas Outhouse will provide portable toilets and hand-wash stations
- Harris County: Texas Outhouse will provide portable toilets and hand-wash stations
- METRO: Gainsborough Waste will provide roll-off dumpsters and front-load recycle services
Gainsborough Waste and Texas Outhouse were the beneficiaries of the “Hire Houston First” (HHF) program that seeks to give local Houston businesses equal footing to win city contracts.
The company was approved for and obtained an HHF contract, qualifying Gainsborough Waste and Texas Outhouse for consideration to win the waste services contracts.
As outlined on the city’s website, “the city of Houston spends billions of dollars to maintain and improve the city’s infrastructure and provide services for the public. Hire Houston First grants the city the ability to give preference to local companies and local workers, as long as their pricing is competitive.”
