Wasteology Group Holdings LLC, a managed waste services company headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky, has received a growth investment from San Francisco-based private equity firm SkyKnight Capital LP.

The investment will support Wasteology’s continued expansion into new markets and service offerings, which include technology-enabled waste and recycling solutions for commercial and industrial customers.

Founded in 2014, Wasteology offers proprietary reporting and analytics that analyze waste, track landfill diversion, identify spending by site and compare spending year-over-year.

“We are thrilled to partner with SkyKnight as Wasteology embarks on its next phase of growth,” Wasteology CEO Stacy Harralson says. “With SkyKnight’s strategic partnership, we are poised to accelerate our expansion into new markets and service lines while enhancing our existing technology offerings for customers.

"This partnership will advance our platform through greater automation and bolstered operational capabilities, allowing us to further shorten time to service and deliver even deeper, real-time insights for customers. Together, we will continue to build the nation’s premier next-generation managed waste services provider and maintain our status as an employer of choice for our team.”

Harralson will remain a significant shareholder alongside SkyKnight, and the existing management team will continue to lead the company through its next phase of growth.

“Wasteology is a leader in the managed waste services sector and recognized across the industry for its technology-enabled operational excellence, data-driven insights and commitment to exceptional customer service,” says Victoria Potter, principal at SkyKnight. “We are proud and excited to partner with Stacey and the Wasteology team to build upon their best-in-class platform and continue to invest in the technology and talent that underpin the company’s success. Stacey and her team have built something truly special: an organization rooted in values and poised for outsized growth, and we are thrilled to be part of the next chapter.”

SkyKnight was advised by Raymond James, Holland & Knight LLP and Morrison Foerster. Wasteology was advised by Harris Williams, Bass Berry & Sims PLC and Latham & Watkins LLP.
