WM has opened a new $19 million hauling and transfer station in Casa Grande, Arizona, Pinal Central reports.
The facility will service the cities of Casa Grande, Eloy and Maricopa, and will be able to process about 350 tons of waste per day and 90,000 tons per year, according to Chad Bowden, WM director of collection operations.
WM, based in Houston, provides commercial and dumpster rental services in Casa Grande, and also accepts drop-off items. In nearby Eloy and Maricopa, the company offers residential recycling and waste pickup.

“Recycling is a big component of what we do,” Bowden says. “We’ll collect those materials here and get them properly sorted. We’ll be collecting residential and commercial customers’ trash and then recycling.”
A future Phase 2 of the project will incorporate the installation of compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling stations and a transition to a fleet of CNG trucks.
