Solid waste and recycling firms are setting the dates for their next quarterly conference calls, with mid- and late July serving to host calls from at least three of the larger waste firms.
Houston-based Waste Management Inc. (WM) has announced it will release its second quarter 2016 financial results before the opening of the market on Wednesday, July 27, 2016, and then host its investor conference call at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time the same day.
In a late June news release, Phoenix-based Republic Services announced Thursday, July 28, as the date for its second quarter conference call with analysts.
The timing for Rutland, Vermont-based Casella Waste Systems Inc. is nearly identical, with the firm saying it will release its financial results for the three months ended June 30, 2016, after the market closes on Thursday, July 28, and that it will then host a conference call the next day.
The earnings reports released in tandem are likely to paint a picture of the profit-and-loss landscape for waste and recycling in the first half of 2016, with comments also likely to address how the second half is shaping up.
