Pacific Northern Environmental (PNE), a Longview, Washington-based environmental and industrial services provider based in the Pacific Northwest, has appointed Shawn Ball as president of the WasteXpress and CCS divisions.
Ball will lead the company’s businesses focused on transportation and disposal of waste, industrial cleaning, emergency response and other related industrial and environmental services.
“We are thrilled to welcome Shawn to the PNE family,” says Spencer Partridge, CEO of PNE. “Shawn’s extensive background growing environmental services businesses will be an asset to his role as president of WasteXpress and CCS and empower all of PNE as we seek to continue our growth trajectory and deliver exceptional solutions for our customers.”
Ball has spent more than 23 years building and leading companies in the environmental services industry. As the senior vice president of ACTenviro, he helped lead the company through a period of significant revenue growth. The business was acquired in 2023 by Republic Services and, during a transitional period, Ball supported the expansion of Republic’s environmental services division across multiple regions.
Prior to ACTenviro, Ball held senior roles at PSC/Stericycle and Ingenium, where he led strategic expansions and operational improvements.
“I am honored to join PNE at this exciting time,” Ball says. “The WasteXpress and CCS divisions have a strong reputation for customer service, and I look forward to collaborating with the team here to drive further growth.”
Since 1989, WasteXpress has provided environmentally safe waste disposal and waste management services to dozens of Fortune 500 companies and public and private sector businesses in the Pacific Northwest. CCS was established in Longview, Washington, in 1987, gradually expanding its portfolio to include a wide range of industrial cleaning and environmental services. PNE acquired WasteXpress in 2023 and CCS was acquired by PNE in 1999.
Ball was introduced to PNE by Waverly Frisbie Moffitt, the director of executive search firm Frisbie Search Partners LLC.
